About us
We’re a faith based organization focused on creating an interdenominational platform for the full realization of the freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
We use the freedom of thought, conscience and religion as the vital element of upholding the inherent dignity of all humanity.
We use advocacy; public engagement; litigation; research and development; community engagement and strategic partnerships and developing national, regional and international alliances as a mechanism of advancing this freedom.
We pride ourselves as the premiere organization in speaking out against any violations against the freedom of worship in Uganda through suppressive legislative attempts.
Working with concerned citizens, networks and alliances, we have previously instituted various cases in the courts of law (High Court, Constitutional Court and East African Court of Justice) to litigate on issues concerning the violation of freedom of worship through the weaponization of COVID-19 standard operating procedures during the dark age of the 2020 lockdown that included the forced closure of places and unfair phased reopening of places of worship; persecution of religious leaders during the lockdown among other issues.
Our Vision
Upholding, Protecting and Realizing the Freedom of Worship

ABOUT US
We are a multi-stakeholder safe space where individuals and entities (NGOs, government officials) from all faiths and none work together for the freedom of religion or belief globally. Based in Uganda, ICRAD focuses on religious matters worldwide, viewing them through the lens of prophecy, fulfilled prophecy, and the human quest for the full realization, benefit, enjoyment, protection, and promotion of the freedom of religion or belief and other attendant fundamental human rights.
We are the voice of the silenced in upholding the rights to religious freedom, ensuring that every individual and religious organization can exercise their faith, beliefs and traditions without fear of persecution or discrimination. As a platform that provides fearless thought leadership concerning the freedom of worship and other attendant rights, we take a bold stand against any and every attempt to infringe upon or derogate the freedom of worship or belief. Our uniquely tailored international approach is focused on:
Evidence-Based Advocacy: Utilizing research and data to inform our advocacy efforts and policy recommendations.
Creation of International Collaborations and Alliances: Partnering with other like-minded organizations, entities and individuals towards the promotion, protection and upholding of religious freedoms.
Community Development: Working directly with communities to strengthen their capacity to advocate for their freedom of religion and other associate rights.
Strategic Litigation: Providing legal support and representation in cases that have significant implications for religious freedom.
Research and development: Conducting thorough research to underpin our advocacy and to contribute to the broader understanding of religious freedom issues.
We strive to create an environment where diverse religious beliefs are celebrated and where the autonomy of religious organizations is upheld.
